Physics in the Fourth Industrial Revolution:

Towards a Sustainable and Inclusive Future

Physics lies at the heart of the technologies driving the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond, linking scientific innovation to sustainable development and meaningful social transformation. Through this theme, this year’s SAIP conference aims to showcase advances in renewable energy, smart materials, artificial intelligence, and data driven innovation, highlighting how these tools can be harnessed to address real world challenges. With a strong emphasis on empowering communities across Africa, the conference aligns with the UN’s International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development and reflects UWC’s commitment to inclusive, research led solutions for the public good.
