The symposium will bring together researchers from Brazil and South Africa working across a broad range of areas in theoretical, experimental, and computational physics. Its main goal is to strengthen scientific collaboration between the participating institutions by providing an environment in which researchers, postgraduate students, and postdoctoral fellows can exchange ideas, identify common interests, and develop new joint activities. Particular emphasis will be placed on fostering South–South collaboration, promoting the exchange of students and researchers, and creating opportunities for joint supervision, research visits, and collaborative projects.
The scientific programme will cover topics ranging from nuclear and few-body physics to hadronic systems, solid-state physics, astrophysics, and cosmology, with particular interest in the exchange of theoretical, mathematical, computational, and experimental methods across different fields. Rather than focusing on a narrowly defined subject, the symposium is intended to encourage interactions between research groups and explore connections that may lead to new collaborations.
The symposium aims to:
